Cambridge Community Chorus performs a free preview of our Spring Concert, featuring excerpts from Karl Jenkins' The Peacemakers along with works from Rachmaninoff and Favero. Join us Sunday, April 26 at 3:30pm in the Main Library Lecture Hall, 449 Broadway, Cambridge.
During the 2014 holiday season, small groups of singers from the Chorus performed holiday and choral music in five short concerts at local homeless service programs and assisted living residences. This spring, Cambridge Community Chorus again participates in the Cambridge Peace Commission's Holocaust Commemoration on May 5, singing two pieces in this annual service at Temple Beth Shalom.
Despite a delayed start to the Spring 2015 concert cycle (SNOW!), the CCC held its rehearsal retreat at St. Bart's on February 7.

The Board of Directors of the Cambridge Community Chorus is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Pamela Mindell as its next Music Director and Conductor. Mindell will take over the directorship of the chorus in July 2014 — following in the footsteps of the late William Ethaniel Thomas (the CCC founding Music Director from 1991-2008), Dr. Jamie Kirsch (2008 – 2013) and current interim director Michael Pfitzer.
After an extensive search process, the Board selected Mindell because of her deep knowledge and appreciation of the traditional canon of Western choral music, her adventuresome and passionate spirit in teaching and performing 20th and 21st century work, and her interest in music from a wide range of cultures. The Board also appreciated her interest in and commitment to working with the Cambridge community.
Mindell has an undergraduate degree from Princeton University and both an MM and DMA in choral conducting from Yale University. She lives with her husband and two daughters in Cambridge where they are Housemasters of one of the MIT graduate student residences.
The Board welcomes Dr. Mindell to the Cambridge Community Chorus and looks forward to a long and productive collaboration under her leadership.
