Dianna Daly

Dianna Daly, mezzo-soprano, is equally at home in both opera and oratorio. Recent soloist performances include Haydn's Stabat Mater with the St. Paul's Adult Choir, Cambridge, Copland's In the Beginning and the Duruflé Requiem with the Seraphim Singers, and Handel's Messiah with the Cambridge Community Chorus. She has appeared as a featured soloist with several Boston area music organizations, including the Concord Chorus, the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra, the Plymouth Symphony Orchestra, the Neponset Choral Society, the Masterworks Chorale, and the New England Youth Ensemble, with whom she performed throughout the Middle East and Europe and at Carnegie Hall.

Ms. Daly most recently appeared as Prince Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus, a production by The Commonwealth Opera Company, with whom she also sang the Third Lady in The Magic Flute, and the title role in Rossini's Cinderella. She has performed principal roles in Suor Angelica, Il Tabarro, Amal and the Night Visitors, Orfeo ed Euridice, Hansel and Gretel, and Cavelleria Rusticana.

Ms. Daly holds a Master of Music degree from The Longy School of Music where she was winner of The Orchestra Soloist Award for two consecutive years. She is also an honors graduate of Smith College, where she was the winner of two prestigious music awards and the Orchestra Soloist Award. Ms. Daly is the Director of Music at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Dedham.
