Maria Ferrante, soprano, is a soloist in opera, oratorio, and recital, and has appeared throughout the United States, England, and Japan. Opera appearances have included Liù in Puccini's Turandot with Concert Opera Boston, Mimì in Puccini's La Bohème, and Pamina in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte. She has appeared in recital at the Mohawk Trails Concerts, Shelburne Falls, MA, at Clark University's Sunday Afternoon Chamber Music Series, and for the New York Musicians Club at the Kosciuszko Foundation.
Ms. Ferrante appears each year in the Bank Boston Showcase Series in 'Brown Bags for Kids' at Mechanics Hall, and has been heard live many times on WGBH Boston's "Morning Pro Musica".
Ms. Ferrante was recently asked to perform for the 250th anniversary of Goethe's birth at the Goethe Institute in Boston. Other recent appearances were at the Gala Opening at Tuckerman Hall, Worcester, 'Creative Women III' in Provincetown, and the Bennington Chamber Music Festival, Vermont. Ms. Ferrante's latest performance with the Cambridge Community Chorus occurred last spring in Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass. She has recorded for Afka and Moonlight Discs; her acclaimed CD "Christmas In Worcester" includes works by Charles Callahan and Leonardo Ciampa.
