Cambridge Sings - October 17

Join us for an evening of songs on Tuesday, October 17 at 7:30 pm at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church, 239 Harvard St. The program will include spirituals and a variety of songs performed by the Cambridge Community Chorus and the Cambridge Rindge & Latin School Vocal Ensemble. Thanks to Father Foxx and the congregation of St. Bartholomew's for sharing their church for our rehearsals and concert. Suggested $5 donation at the door. For more information call 876-2877.

Messiah Rehearsal Video Screening

Videographer Peter Kastner will be presenting 'Rehearsing the Messiah,' an hour-long documentary of last year's rehearsal process, on Sunday, December 3 at 3:00 pm in the CRLS Fitzgerald Auditorium, 459 Broadway. A $5 donation will be requested to benefit the CRLS Video Club.

The documentary includes highlights from rehearsals and the Youville recital, interviews with chorus members, and captures the spirit of William Thomas and the uniqueness of the Chorus. Videotapes will be available for purchase at $20 each. You won't want to miss the "riser" sequence! For more information, call Peter Kastner at 661-7583.

Concert CDs Available Soon

We will have CDs of last May's concert of the choral movement of Beethoven's 9th Symphony, and Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass available for $7 each at Messiah rehearsals. If you cannot attend rehearsals but would like to purchase a CD call Karen Greenwood (781-229-2574).

Winter Voice Classes

If you are not participating in the Messiah, but would like to be a part of the winter session of voice classes in January/February, please call 491-4887 and leave your name and phone number.

The Envelope Please

We only ask for your donations once a year - so please read our appeal and send us a tax-deductible contribution. We depend on our membership for much of our financial support and are very grateful for any amount you can give. Thank you very much.

See you at the first rehearsal
