CCC 2008 SPRING CONCERT GENERAL INFORMATION SHEET

WELCOME:

Welcome to our 2008 spring season. For this concert we will be performing Samual Coldridge-Taylor's Hiawatha's Wedding Feast and Franz Joseph Haydn's Harmony Mass. Below is a list of rehearsal dates/locations and other important information. If you need further assistance please contact your section leaders who are listed below or contact Concert Producer, Rena Leib at 617-354-4390 or rena(at)englishchick.com or Assistant Producer, Jeannette McGlamery at 617-497-5892 or jmcglamery(at)gmail.com

NEW SINGERS

New singers who would like to join for this concert after the rehearsal of 3/31/08 are asked to speak with either the President, the concert Producer or the Music Director to discuss participating.

ATTENDANCE POLICY:

The Cambridge Community Chorus strives to be accessible to all interested community members, which is the main reason behind our "no auditions required" policy. All concerts require your commitment to attend rehearsals. In the event you are unable to attend a rehearsal, please do the following: (1) In the Sign-Up Sheet column of the date you will be absent, mark a LARGE "A", and, (2) inform your Section Leader and the concert producer of that date, in advance if possible, and confirm that you have marked the sheet accordingly. If you miss more than two rehearsals in a cycle the Concert Producer will then speak to the Director to determine whether you will be permitted to sing in that performance. New singers who join after the second rehearsal are welcome to sing in rehearsal but should not necessarily expect to sing in the performance for that cycle. Remember, it is important that you try to attend every rehearsal and sign in every week. If you do not sign in you will automatically be listed as absent for that rehearsal. If your name is misspelled, please make corrections on the sign-in sheets so we properly include you in our concert planning & program credits. Please use the "New Singer & Change of Address Info" sheet to mark any changes changes to your contact information (phone, postal and email addresses, etc).

REFRESHMENTS AT REHEARSALS:

Each voice Section is asked on a rotating basis to bring snacks and other refreshments to enjoy at the "break" during the regular Monday rehearsals. Please see the rehearsal and performance schedule below.

PARKING:

The City of Cambridge has granted parking "consideration", which allows singers who do not have a Cambridge resident parking sticker, to park in "resident only" spots. Signs to put on your dashboard are available at the sign-in tables.

CONCERT DRESS:

Women; white long sleeve blouses (NOT OFF-WHITE). Long black skirt or black dress pants with black shoes and stockings. Men: Black tuxedoes or black suit jacket, white shirts, cummerbund, black bow tie, black shoes, black socks. No sneakers. Please remember for all rehearsals and concerts men and women, no scented perfumes, hairsprays, aftershave, etc.
